Donbarlen History




Donbarlen is a composite name of Don, Barbara, and our son Allen's name.

We have bred 107 and rescued 126 Bearded Collies (and still counting). Of the 107 there were 14 AM. CH, 1 Int'l.CH., 1 CA/AM CH, 3 TDs, 1 AM/CAN TD, 10 HIC's, and 9 CGCs. One of the CGCs is Drummer, the certified Therapy Dog shown in the pictures with my mom in a wheelchair.

We have had three ROM bitches producing 3 or more Champions: Grayona Jubilee Easter Lily, AM/CAN TD, ROM, (the very first import) AM/CAN CH Braer Honey O'Donbarlen, ROM, CGC, and Raffles, Donbarlen's Grandeur Restored, ROM.

The very first Beardie to come to Donbarlen was Ghillie, (Greyona Jubilee Easter Lily AM/CAN TD, ROM) in the year of the Queen's Jubilee (1977) Her only litter included versatility dog CH Whispered Wish O'Donbarlen TD, HC, AM/CAN CH Braer Honey O'Donbarlen ROM, and CH Teasel O'Tay O'Donbarlen ROM.
